The elastic in the back waist only gets stitched to the inner fabric. But about an inch from the edge so then the inner and outer layers get sewn together so there is actually a back ruffle. At least in our pattern,you could just sew elastic to the back waist seam allowance if that makes sense for what you’r emaking.

The leg elastic is just sewn in the seam allowance after the two layers are stitched together.

Does that make sense?

In step 2, it give me the impression that you’ve in your back elastic to the PUL fabric, though you mentioned in the above post that it only gets sewn on to the inner layer. What about your leg elastic – does it get sewn on just the inner fabric as well? (I do not have the verybaby patterns to refer to.)

This may seem like a silly question but it is early and I havn’t had coffee yet…well ok not early but I still havn’t had coffee.

The openin g is in the front for the pocket on this diaper? I’ve only seen back openings…so I was just a bit comfuszed. Thanks!

The back elastic doens’t go thru the PUL layer. Good luck!

When you sew in the back elastic, do you sew it to both the inner layer and the PUL in this case, or just your inner layer?
