Using the VB one size pocket diaper pattern to make a one size wool cover?

Okay, I may be a little crazy to try and begin a new project such as this when I am up to my ears in essay grading, thesis statement assignments and other sewing projects, but I was wondering if anyone has tried making a one-size wool cover from the VB one-size pocket diaper pattern.  I think I am going to go with two layers of wool interlock (would 12oz be thick enough?) and use snaps.  For whatever reason, I feel compelled to make some new cloth diapers for my little man before we head out to grandma's in about a month.  Now that I have my serger (yippeee!) and have been making shirts and pants for my little man, I am looking forward to trying out the one-size fitted diapers without snaps to put under my soon-to-be-in-existence wool covers.

Ahhh, so many projects, too little time.  But on the plus side I sold my first baby carrier today!  Now back to grading essays... Cry

I would just make sure that your cover overlaps the diapers, give plenty of room in the legs!
