sew your own diapers

I have been thinking about applying to be an Approved Very Baby Seamstress. I'm hoping people would really buy some diapers and cloth wipes from me. So one reason I'm hesitating is that I'm not sure I would make money. I think it's worth trying, though. For those who already are approved seamstresses, are you willing to share any thoughts or advice? Thanks.

Hi Manda, I don't know if I've got active Seamstresses active on the boards!   Sorry no one has replied. I can tell you my grandmother (tallulahbaby.com) does well and I can't even convince her to buy wholesale fabrics in quantity

I'll have to practice more with my snap pliers. I have not been able to get the snaps to snap together because it's hard to squeeze evenly with the pliers. I have lots of snaps I was excited to use for diapers, mama cloth, and more.

It takes time to make money you do need to build a customer base.  I sew what I like which is the fitted diapers and the fitted one size. Not always in demand but they do ok especially the Newborn diapers.
