Rotary Cutter

I have an olfa 45 mm rotary cutter and the blade seems to be getting dull already after about 5 diapers worth of cutting.  Does this seem too soon?  Any suggestions?  How long do the blades usually last?  Thanks for your help.

I use mine for too long too!!  I'm hoping you were able to figure this out and 5 does seem really short!  In case it's helpful (though you may already know this), you can actually get sharpeners for your rotary blades, which is much cheaper than replacing them! (The ones that I have were made by Dritz, they are blue disks with little handles sticking out of them).

I think it must have been a faulty blade...the next one worked great and has lasted a lot longer.  Found a great bargain on ebay for blades but I do plan to try a sharpener next time I run out.

I have a Fiskars... Sometimes when I think the blade is dull I just take it off and clean out the fabric lint that gets trapped behind the blade. Normally my issue is with the blade not wanting to turn, which I mistake for it being dull. I also have to add some more oil sometimes.
