Wool crepe?

Has anyone ever made diaper covers using wool crepe? I found one store online that sells them, and another website said wool crepe makes a great lightweight cover. I'm skeptical, because when I hear "crepe" I think of filmy, sheer fabric. Thoughts?

I've seen a couple of places that have said that as well, and I am planning on trying it as soon as I get set up to make things, as I have a bunch of 1/8 yd samples from Fabric.com that look like they should work (none are sheer in this case, but the sample that I got from B. Black & Sons was).
