Ok.. So I had a few questions about sewing with PUL... However after a earch through the forum (LOVE that I can do that!) I found my answers.

!!!! I am getting better about searching before I post a question which sometimes means that I dont have to post a question because I find the answer first.

That's what is so great about having a forum! I love that it turns into a huge resource where folks can search for the answers they need! In the early days of our company I was on the computer answering questions for hours and hours each day!
NOW... The pattern that I am wanting to make into a pocket diaper.... IT has one row of snaps on the front and 1 row of snaps on the wings. DO I.... only add the snaps to the outside layer of PUL (before I sew the diaper together) or would that encourage leaking since whatever we use to stuff it will be right behind the snaps?? OR do I apply the snaps after the diaper is all the way together through both the PUL and the suedecloth-microterry? I know the snaps to make it smaller (one-size) need to be applied before I sew the diaper.
If you're making a pocket you want to add the front tummy panel snaps (or aplix) on before you sew it all together. If you add them after, you have to go through all the layers and it shortens your pocket significantly which means less absorbency can be stuffed inside.
I recommend 'backing' the snaps or aplix with another strip of PUL, not only for reinforcement/strength but it also helps keep wicking from occurring through the snap holes or stitching.
Does that make sense?
How about adding another row of snaps like hip snaps? Anyone done that? Pros-cons? DOes it help with wing droop? Is it too much fuss? If you think it would be a good idea how would I do that?
Hip snaps aren't a whole different row, just a third set of snaps on each wing, it does help with wing droop, I like hip snaps. The only 'con' is if you have a big toddler wearing the diapers on their largest setting, the hip snap can 'dig' into their hips if they've grown nearly out of the diaper. I haven't had that issue as even though my babies are chubbsters, they thin out when they learn to walk so none of them have ever needed the diaper set on it's very largest setting.
