Product Description
The Little One Size Diaper pattern is unlike any other. It's exactly as it is named, little. No more extra bulk in small sizes. Trim fitting lower rise in larger settings.
Simplicity takes priority here. No complicated adjustments to fiddle with. No exposed rise snaps, just a smooth diaper that fits great at any size!
Best of all the Little One Size Diaper Pattern is actually two patterns, one designed for front snap and the other specifically for side snap. Instructions for making FOE covers, T&T fitteds and AIOs and even serged fitteds and AIOs all in one pattern with no modifications needed. All pattern pieces are computer drawn and printed on 18"x24" 20# drafting paper, along with a 8-page booklet style instruction manual for easy assembly.
Suggested Fabric:
Pre-washing fabric helps to insure proper sizing. AIO Outer Fabric and Cover Fabric: Fleece, PUL. AIO Inner Fabric and Fitted Inner and Outer Fabric: cotton, hemp, or bamboo knits (interlock, knit terry, velour, french terry, jersey) or wovens (flannel, birdseye, terry) with no more than 20% polyester fiber content. Decorative Cover Outer Fabric: polyester or cotton woven print.
Yardage Required:
45" wide: 3/4 yd yields 3 diaper layers, 3 extended soaker pad layers, and 1 inner soaker layer or 3 soaker pad layers and 4 inner soaker layers.
60" wide: 3/4 yd yields 4 diaper layers, 3 extended soaker pad layers, and 4 inner soaker layers or 5 soaker pad layers and 5 inner soaker layers.
Notions Recommended:
Scissors, polyester or cotton thread (match fiber content of fabric), marking pen, straight pins, machine needle (ballpoint for PUL and knits). If sewing knits with a machine that lacks a stretch stitch, use wooly nylon in the bobbin and use a straight stitch. Polybraid elastic or lastin for AIO and fitted, 1" foldover elastic for covers (Approx. 1 1/2 yds). Size 16-20 poly resin snap enclosures (16 sockets and 7 studs for front snap version or 23 sockets and 5 studs for side snap version.
Machines and Methods:
The Little One Diaper can be sewn entirely on a regular sewing machine, or with a serger, instructions for both are included.
Sizing:
The Little One Size Diaper fits from approx 8-35lbs.
